50km Peak District Challenge

Heather's son Mark ran the 50km Peak District Challenge together with over 500 other competitors. He came in 47th in a time of 7hrs 40mins - even more remarkable as he is not a regular runner.

His sponsorship money will be split between The Goboka Rwanda Trust and the 4 young children of a schoolfriend of his who died suddenly last week of cardiac arrest at the age of 32.

Mark came to Rwanda in 2014 and since that time grew and had a sponsored beard-shave to raise money for a rough terrain motorbike which ferries medication, blood-samples and even patients between the Trust's two Health Centres and the nearest Hospital in Rwanda.

We are all really grateful for his support once again - as will be his friends in Rwanda.
